Tourism Minister Godfrey Kiwanda Ssuubi has rushed out at the Uganda Police Force saying government is fade up of apologizing and defending their ruthless actions.
This follows yesterday’s apology from the police over teargassing at the Buganda’s Mbogo clan ceremonial event at Mulungu in Mityana district over the weekend.
Speaking to journalists at the Uganda Journalist Association (UJA) offices in Kawempe, Kiwanda says they have for long time come out to defend police and apologize for its actions before the public over dubious actions.
However, he says that he could be with no doubt that teargas could have been blown by the wind and went into the Mbogo clan event though it is the time for police to clear its image by acting professionally.
Meanwhile, Kiwanda who is also the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Vice Chairperson Central Region discloses that the party has today dispatched a team of executive members to reach out and convince all Independent parliamentary candidates to withdraw for the sake of the flagbearers.
