Lawyers in the country under their umbrella body Uganda Christian Lawyers Fraternity are calling for Rule of law in the country .
This comes after a total of 28 people who lost their lives in the just concluded 3 day riot including several others who sustained injuries.
Speaking in the press conference held at Makerere University guest House ,John Osapiri chairperson Uganda Christian lawyers Fraternity cited recommendations that include, urging the speaker of parliament to order the committee for human rights to investigate the security brutality and the innocent Ugandans who were killed, as well as the media to continue exposing the perpetrators of the violation of human rights in the country.
Lawyers have further condemned Gen. Elly Tumwine the minister for security for his statement he issued yesterday ordering police to continue shoot live bullets against people whenever people are rioting.
In the same way lawyers have pledged to provide free services to each and every Ugandan who was arrested during the riots and those who lost their beloved ones.
