Hon. Francis Zake’s voters are expressing great disappointment in their parliamentary representative after he diverted from fully representing them to now fighting endless battles.
Some of the voter in Mityana municipality where Hon. Francis Zake represents say, they voted him in 2016 in his first time in parliament with high hopes of fully representing their view in parliament but to their dismay, the youthful legislators has failed to live to their expectations.
“We expected much from our beloved MP but little has been seen from him directed to causing positive change to the constituency that he represents.” Says some of the voters.
Some of the expectations that the voters thought would get through his representation include, financial lobbying from the central government to help develop the electorates and improve their livelihoods, lobby for agricultural inputs and machines since they are farmers among others but less has been received.
The electorates think that his endless political battles with the state and the ruling party in power (NRM) have failed Hon. Zake to fully represent them as well as lobby for them.
One of the voters who preferred anonymity sighted the constitutional amendment battle, Arua by election battle and other internal battles he has championed in the district based on political lines which he says have made him change his alegency to another candidate who will be contesting on the same post.
The huge cry from the electorates come at the back drop of not registering positive change during Hon. Zake’s five year time in parliament and now vow not to support or even elect him in the coming elections and advise him to seek opportunities elsewhere and not in Mityana as a leader.
