A team of 14 NRM lawyers are set to handle a tatal of 373 authentic petitions that have been delivered by the MP aspiring candidates from mainly 10 districts in the country.in the recent NRM primaries.
This has been revealed by the NRM secretariat through the legal director.
How ever in the press briefing that held at kyadondo today the deputy secretary general of NRM Hon.Richard Tadwong has warned the members of the party who are opting to quit the party and stand as independent to be mindful of the party rules and constitution that one to quit the party shall have to revisit the law saying once some a member of the party has been a leader at any level he or she will have to first surrender,party card.as well as other party facilities a member could posses.
On several occasions the NRM members who lost in the recent primaries for mps positions many of them threatened to quit the party and stand independent on grounds that the party primaries were not conducted fairy attributing it to their failure.
Tadwong has further hinted that the party is undertaking thorough investigations against their party members who misbehaved and caused chaos and malpractices during the party primaries of mps adding that even when a.candidate was declared a winner the party shall not hesitate to council his or her results.
