The prime minister of Uganda Rt.Hon. Ruhakana Rugunda has welcomed the efforts geared towards having citizens from different political parties discussing peace ahead of the polls amidst the high levels of political tension in the country.
Addressing people power supporters at kololo , Rugunda commended all those involved in the peace initiative to continue and pledges government support towards such efforts aimed at promoting peace and unity in the country.
He further reminded youths of the running programs by government meant to transform their lives and asked them to embrace them.
NRM vice chairperson Al haji Moses Kigongo added that, its great to see that youths have resorted to calling for peace during and after elections and calls for this kind of spirit to be fronted by every citizen.
He asked the youths not to always front money as a means to solve their standing issues but to always be tolerant if Uganda is to grow.

They further urge youths around the country to follow the law during and after polls.
The hundreds of youth came from all divisions of Kampala.
