National Electoral commission has issued turf guidelines that are to be followed ahead of the general elections for 2021 include:
- Burning of massive rallies and convening of campaign meetings
- All aspiring candidates shall be allowed to not use more than two vehicle with only 4 people per each car
- Aspiring candidates shall only be allowed into the nomination venue accompanied by 2 persons a seconder and proposer.
- And also the ensuring that the standard operating procedures of the ministry of health are emphasized.
Following the commencement of the nominations for older persons with disabilities and youth committees according to the Justice Simon Byabakama the chairperson of the electoral commission has revealed the date for the kick off for the elections for these special interest group on 10th August 2020 in all 68,740 villages across the country.
In the meantime the chairperson of the National electoral commission has re affirmed that they have received a petition from a section of Ugandans who are challenging the leader of National Unit Plattform Hon Kyagulanyi Ssentamu how he became the leader of this newly created political party they wonder how a new comer out smarted the founder leaders and became both a party leader and flag bearer.
