Ugandans under their umbrella body informal Business Association have decried to the Government to lift the Lockdown saying how their businesses have been greatly affected.
Yassin Ssematimba the chairman of informal Business sectors has asked the Government to let them resume work since the Government has failed to give them the relief fund yet their families are starving noting that people’s businesses and merchandise have rotten from the shops.
Ssematimba has tasked the Government to remove the new taxes that were introduced in the this new financial year explaining how traders can not continue paying taxes yet their Businesses have collapsed adding that its upon the Government to stop Landlords from asking tenants rent since they have not been working.
Rashid Ssekindi is the chairperson Kampala Taxi operators Association is against the car tracking device that the Government wants to introduce explaining how its going to interfere with the taxi business yet people are not ready to use it due to its financial implications.
The informal business people have also pledged to implement the standard operating procedures once if businesses are reopened.
