Fire guts Royal paint factory in Makindye a Kampala suburb as stores of paints and machines equipment worth billions of money being destroyed.
Police has been heavily deployed at the factory to control the residents and the situation
Makindye division mayor Ali mulyanyama was among the first area leaders to arrive on the scene and has hinted on lack of fire fighting equipment in the country for police to effectively play its role in controlling fire outbreak adding that Government only priorities in purchasing tear gas and fire arms.
Mulya nyama has attacked the management of royal paint for putting up a factory in a resident place saying its very risky and dangerous.
Meanwhile police Assistant director Uganda police fire brigade rescue services, Asp Hassana kyanda has revealed how police has managed to control the fire outbreak as he also blamed the Royal paint factory management for setting up a factory in a residential building describing the place that its not suitable for the factory.
However Kyanda has urged the residents and neighborhood to always be vigilant about people who set up factories in places which are not well gazette.
